- Exodus 24 - Israel affirms their covenant with God
- Verse 9 - It wasn't only Moses who saw God, they all saw God.
- It should have been something that changed a life.
- In the next few chapters, it's Aaron who beholds the golden calf!
- In 40 days and 40 nights, Moses goes up the mountain to meet with God, while Aaron (and the 70 elders of Israel) forgets what he sees!
- If the chief priests, the wisest, the elders, saw God and stumbled, then we could be in the same place.
- Luke 8:4 - The parable of the sower
- The parable of the sower is like life sometimes - things come up and problems come in.
- My challenge to you today is "We've got to be believing for something"
- Just because you know it, you've seen it, you've had and encounter, doesn't mean you believe.
- I want us as a congregation to believe! The impossible can happen!
- Verse 22
- When we make a decision to change things - the devil comes in to steal our belief.
- Something will come against you to make you choose.
- We will think God doesn't hear us and has fallen asleep, like the disciples on the boat.
- He's not ignorant he's with you, he's there on the boat, in the midst of the tempest.
- Sometimes we get anxious when we don't see the movement we want to see, when things don't happen in the time frame we want.
- God is God, and he is with you in the midst of whatever you face!
- We just have to believe. Hold on to your belief!
- God loves our honesty. He can help us in our unbelief.
- Where is you Faith? What are you believing for this year? Be active in it.
